South Beach Florida Hotels

South Beach in Miami is the most famous tourist destination for youngsters perhaps, for its night life. The pulsating music of Latin beats along with the intoxicating aroma of Cuban cuisine from the road side cafes makes this destination irresistible for any connoisseur of food, music and carefree life.

Even if you are one of those people who plan for every trip at the very last moment, you have nothing to fear when it comes to getting your hotel reservations done for South Beach hotels. You just need to go online, choose the kind of hotel that seems most suitable to your budget and go ahead with the booking. You have the option of taking your pick from a long list of luxury resorts and hotels, medium budget accommodations, those that are extremely pocket friendly and places that offer special discount packages.

The prices of rooms on per night per person sharing basis can range from anywhere between $20 and $800 depending upon your choice. While even the cheapest hotels will offer you the luxury of the view of the beautiful South Beach, the high end accommodations come with a number of other conveniences that can make your trip truly memorable. Rooftop swimming pools, bar and lounge, private luxury suites with excellent room service, 24hrs-internet access and a number of other amenities makes the money spent on these luxurious accommodations worth it.

The hotels listed in the "standard" category or the medium budget accommodations too are equally competitive. You can get almost all the facilities that are offered by the luxury destination at these hotels, only at cheaper rates. Whether it is a twenty four hour reservation desk or room service, a swimming pool, a bar or a concierge, these hotels have it all. Most of these hotels also boast of their excellent restaurants.

It would not be wrong to say that a large variety of choices makes selection more difficult. Advertisements are meant only to guide; one must keep one's requirements and budget in mind and carefully select the accommodation. So, choose the best to make your stay at South Beach a truly memorable experience.

Miami Condo Hotels: Upscale Environment of the First Order

It is said that if one lingers long enough, every motif of the times revives back in style. This is certainly true for the present hottest Miami real estate craze: condo-hotels. Without a doubt, it has been nearly 90 years since Hollywood's first celebrity superstars such as Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and Montgomery Clift transformed hotel living into a sensational, sought after form of art.

Today modern amenities and contemporary stylings are evolving this glamorous way of living to a broader demographic scale; unprecedented numbers in real estate history. In point of fact, some 70,000 private residences situated in hotels are now being developed across the United States, particularly in the unfaltering Miami real estate scene, according to a Business Week report by Lodging Econometrics, a hotel real estate analyst group.

Busy professionals and dynamic empty-nesters are driving the trend alike. These clever, real-estate savvy and chic homebuyers want to put everything in one package: convenience, security, five-star amenities, a distinctive atmosphere and community, and most of all, a smart investment.

It is rather uncommon for anyone to own two, three, even four homes at present--especially the baby boomers, who have always been trendsetters in any arena. Miami condo hotels are considered to be a consequence of a real estate boom that has been catalyzed by multi-home ownership. Nevertheless, with each additional real estate property that people possess, the challenges rise as well. What is interesting is how these people ever manage them all.

Crucial domestic concerns such as security, personnel management, payroll and payroll taxes, as well as the overall maintenance that includes cleaning and landscaping can be a lot quite taxing even for just one property, let alone two or three. Sometimes in the search for that ever-more comfortable way of living, everything spirals up with increasing complexity.

Living in a Miami condo hotel is essentially living in a residential condominium that is within a hotel. Miami condo hotels address the above mentioned challenges, apparently getting rid off the usual manual upkeep and stress that are associated with regular home ownership.

In a Miami condo hotel environment, residents can phone the front desk in order to request maid service, for instance, in their condo before they jump a flight homeward bound, to conveniently monitor dry cleaning that was not picked up before they leave for vacation, or even have dinner waiting in their condo after a long day at the office.

These unique advantages are even more valuable when residents are relaxing at home in their condo-hotels. For example, if residents are planning to have people over, the concierge can arrange for reservations at the hotel's restaurant, or have the meal brought to the condo. Similarly, if residents are having overnight guests, the hotel can accommodate them in separate rooms within the hotel, or roll a spare bed into the condo.

In addition, homeowners share the same marvelous amenities as hotel guests, including a la carte room service, 24-hour concierge, in-room maid service, bell hop service, valet parking, car-for-hire service, laundry service, and 24-hour security.

These inimitable attributes are keeping Miami condo hotels a well sought after piece of real estate property, amidst the cooling Miami real estate market.

In a world where the only commodity one cannot control is time, Miami condo hotel living gives affluent homeowners flexible access to five-star amenities, the comfort of knowing that their homes are safe and secure, an upscale environment of the first order, and a sound investment.

Bangkok Weather

The Southeast Asian city of Bangkok is said to have a tropical climate. The Thais divide the year into three seasons that they call cool season, hot season, and rainy season. Temperatures in the city rarely drop below 25° C (70° F). The months of October until February are considered to be favorable for tourists.

The cool season runs from December to March, although there's usually just one week in December when temperatures are actually comfortable. Temperatures dip down to a few centigrade in these months and normal life is affected only a little.

The heat begins to increase soon after the New Year and by April or May, it can be almost unbearably hot and humid. One of Thailand's most celebrated festivals - Songkran, takes place in April and involves lots of water throwing to cool down. Temperatures are at the peak during the months of April and May, and it is very hot and sticky due to the increased sea winds. Later months of the year face a gradual fall in temperature.

The rainy season, which coincides with the European and North American summers, is characterized by heavy downpours and not so favorable for tourists. During the rainy season, there are extremely heavy downpours, but they generally only last for an hour or so in the afternoon. The city annually records a maximum of 340 mm a year. Months of May and June to October experience very heavy rains. The rain cools down the high temperatures and cleans the air nicely that can be really relaxing after the heat. With the temperatures touching the peak, the rain is not cold. Most of the times, it can be just like a warm shower.

June to September experiences plenty of sunshine and is much cooler with the temperatures ranging around 24-28° C, but is the season for rain and is really refreshing. This has a lot of advantages like less visitors and better hotel rates. Best time to visit is from October until February when temperature ranges around 25- 28° C with light breezes and only the occasional showers.

Bangkok Family Friendly Hotels - Top 3 Recommended Hotels in Bangkok for Family Enjoyment

Exploring Bangkok together as a family has its rewards. There's nothing more than the experience of seeing new things, learning historical and cultural facts and especially for broadening the horizons of young ones. And even the adults will enjoy learning a thing or two. But Bangkok does has the unsavory reputation for its raunchy red light districts. However, with some careful planning especially on where to stay and which hotels to choose you can absolutely avoid the red light districts.

Bangkok has 3 go-go bar districts which are quite contained. The best areas for family stay in Bangkok is in the neighborhood of Chitlom. There are many reasons why Chitlom is an ideal place. You can find many major shopping malls and department stores in the area:

Shopping Malls in and around Chitlom:

  • Central World

  • Gaysorn

  • Siam Paragon

  • Siam Square

  • MBK Mall

Like malls in the West, shopping centers in Bangkok are filled with activities families can partake in such as movies, bowling, and ice skating. Siam Paragon for example even has a large aquarium in the lower levels and a great way to spend some time with the family during a hot afternoon.

And there are many family friendly hotels in Chitlom too. Here are the top 3 recommended hotels:

  • Grand Centre Point Ratchadamri

  • Arnoma Hotel

  • Novotel Siam Square

Grand Centre Point Ratchadamri is a highly recommended hotel, especially if you have very young children. Inside the hotel has a small indoor playground with padded floors. Then there's the massive pool for the older kids as well as a kiddie pool for everyone to enjoy. After wards everyone can relax in the personal home movie with an excellent collection of DVD movies inside the hotel.

And for those with a family of shopaholics I suggest staying at the Novotel Siam Square. Siam Square is within a stones throw to the mega shopping malls of pricey Siam Paragon and for the down to earth bargain items at MBK mall.

All of these hotels are also close to Chitlom BTS Sky Train station too. Riding the Sky Train is the best way to get around most parts of Bangkok and will take a family easily to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Bangkok is a big city and by staying in Chitlom your family will be in the center of Bangkok with plenty of family activities in the area. And most importantly you will be away from the red light districts

Best Bangkok Budget Hotels 2010

In 2010 Bangkok was announced as the "Top City" to visit by Travel & Leisure magazine, despite the recent political unrest. As a result many accommodations in Bangkok especially budget hotels have begun discounting their room rates even more in hopes of attracting the waves of tourists.

Bangkok is one of the most well known cities as a vacation destination where you can eat for less, tour for less and enjoy the best hotels with budget rates. Hotels in Bangkok are a true value - most hotels include buffet breakfast in their room rates and most even have swimming pools and small fitness centers. Best thing of all is that most of the affordable accommodations are located right in the heart of the city and close to the city's subway and elevated train systems.

A prime example is the Salil Hotel tucked away on Sukhumvit Soi 8, an area popular with tourist due to businesses catering to expats living in Bangkok. The Salil Hotel with its colonial style decor and boutique services offer guests a peace of mind in an often hectic city. Standard rooms here are spacious and modern. The cost? Just 1000 Baht per night.

Another good budget hotel to take a look at is Bedrooms Boutique Hotel. This hotel is perfect for families wanting to avoid the red light districts. And even though it isn't necessarily in the center of the city, its close proximity to the Sky Train station makes it a convenient location for exploring the tourist attractions easily. A standard room at the Bedrooms currently cost 1400 Baht which usually includes free breakfast.

Finally one hotel worthy of mentioning is the Hope Land Executive Residence located in the quiet part of Sukhumvit Road and close to the Sky Train. Normally I wouldn't consider this hotel in the budget range but rather in the affordable range. But since tourism has recently declined in Bangkok many hotels in the mid to upper price ranges have slashed their room rates. Hope Land is technically a serviced apartment designed for long stay residents, so it is equipped with a large swimming pool and a modern fitness center. As of writing a standard room cost 1080 Baht for a modern and spacious room.

With all the hotels in Bangkok driving their room rates down combined with the oncoming rainy season expect to see lots great deals. Keep an eye out and you may just have plenty of money left when you travel back home.

For further information on the budget hotels in Bangkok listed here please visit Budget Hotels in Bangkok for a full review plus many more affordable hotel options and choices.

A Guide To Bangkok Bars

Neon signs light your path, street vendors appear out of nowhere offering delicious bites, open markets emerge selling an exhausting amount of both real and counterfeit products, music fills the air and the smell of sex is all around you.

Pubs

Looking for a place that just makes you feel at home with a few televisions to watch the game and play a little pool? You will find a generous supply of busy pubs in Bangkok that provide an impressive selection of local and imported beers. A few recommended choices are The London, The Dubliner and Beiotto. Oh, and these places are cheap so you can drink here before heading out to the more expensive clubs to save yourself a little money.

Nightclub

The club scene is Bangkok is unreal and it is always advised to dress to impress because the locals certainly do! Some of the hottest DJs in the world fly here to spin so you'll always hear something fresh and up-and-coming on the tables.

Every club in Bangkok has its own unique atmosphere, theme and specialty drinks so this is a city you could never get bored in for sure! Keep in mind, the nightclubs are not Go Go clubs so don't be trying to pay a bar fine for any of these girls! Some hot places to go are:

The Zeed Ratchada Club - An extremely laid back atmosphere is what you'll find here along with decent food and modest drink prices, making this a favorite with tourists and locals.

Royal City Avenue - This is a trendy spot and anyone who is important will be here. Royal City Avenue on Rama 9 Road, just look for a wicked selection of cars rolling up to valet.

Route 66 - This bar definitely offers a college crowd but anyone is welcome here. You should know though that average age is under 25.

Go Go Clubs

If you are looking for the bars with lightly dressed women who are all there just to show you a good time, you are looking for the Go Go clubs. Most of these establishments are found in Bangkok's red light districts of Patpong, Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza. Here you will find a generous supply of dark clubs with stages and thousands of girls.

Bar fines vary at all these Bangkok Bars and usually do not include any services that the girl provides to you. It is always recommended to find out fees and time expectations prior to paying a bar fine and leaving with a girl to avoid any disappointments of confrontations later.

Here is a great resource on Bar Girls in Thailand

Enjoy a Stunning Destination at Bangkok

Bangkok's sunny, white beaches, its tourist friendly atmosphere and the exceptionally diverse types of culture and experiences have long attracted people of all varieties. They come for a taste and then return for more. Bangkok offers unique and splendid options and is an excellent locale for all people who want to experience a bit of the exotic east without sacrificing the little luxuries of life. Bangkok has hotels and resorts of international standards and star hotels in Bangkok endeavor to give as great service and hospitality as their counterparts in the west.

Once you've selected a hotel, the world, or actually Bangkok, is your oyster. While most tourist books and holiday agents extol the virtues of Bangkok's beaches and the superb water sports facilities provided, there are many choices to be made in Bangkok by the world-weary tourist who thinks he has seen and done it all.

Take some time off from the beach and shift to another body of water. Bangkok used to have many canals and waterways. Though urbanization has rendered some of them un-navigable, but there are still many active waterways. Spend a day or two floating lazily through these canals and head onward from Thonburi into a contrasting rural landscape. En route, drift past and perhaps explore quaint towns, paddy fields and floating markets.

Float through a Melee of Sights

The floating markets in particular are very interesting and are a popular destination in itself. Here canoes with produce piled high, jostle one another gently while all around the Thai haggle politely over the price. Experience the excitement at the floating market in Ratchaburi which is very famous.

Bangkok is rightly renowned as a foodie destination and boasts of a wide assortment of cuisines. But rural Thai cuisine is an experience in itself. Venture away from the tourist hot spots and find yourself an eatery which caters to the Thai people. Here you can savor the flavors of indigenous Thai food uninfluenced by Western tastes.

Be sure to catch a performance of traditional Thai dance dramas. There are many varieties of these but all of them have spiritual origins. Khon is perhaps, the most traditional form but there are many dance troupes, interpreting and modernizing Khon and Lakhon (another traditional dance form) at dance festivals. Short devotional performances can be seen at the Erawan shrine by its own dancers. Step off the tourist rut and lazily explore a new and disparate Bangkok.

Bangkok - Angels and Canals

Bangkok is certainly a modern city with many skyscrapers and extensive shopping malls, but some descriptions of it as a concrete jungle are a trifle harsh. It is definitely the country's most built-up city but there are a few oases of green within the city boundaries, and just a short ride outside the Thai capital is a whole world of eastern promise just waiting to be discovered.

The Thais call Bangkok 'Krung Thep', which translates as the City of Angels. It is the economic heart of Thailand, has a population of over seven million, and draws millions of tourists each year from all over the world. The city has a massive park in its midst called Lumphini Park - Bangkok's own equivalent of New York's Central Park - and is a popular destination for many locals and tourists.

Canals criss-crossed the city known as the 'Venice of the East' in the mid-19th century well before the invention of the internal combustion engine and concrete allowed the building of roads and highways. Just a short ride in a boat down the waterways and you'll be transported away from the hustle and bustle of modern life into a sample of often unseen Thailand.

The River Chao Phraya waterway is almost 250 miles in length and snakes it way between the commercial heart of Bangkok and the rural suburbs. Here the visitor gets a glimpse of the non-westernised heart of the City of Angels; crowded in amongst crude wooden jetties and piers are houses whose residents get the 'shops' to come to them. Small boats laden with fresh fruits and vegetables sail door to door to selling their produce to residents along the busy waterways.

Monks are revered in Thailand and at the King of Thailand's temple at Wat Rajbopit they offer a warm and friendly welcome to visitors. It is prohibited for Monks to touch women but they can converse quite freely with the opposite sex and they will happily tell you about their religion and the temple's history.

Eating 'street food' in Bangkok is definitely worth a try. It tends to be cheap, delicious and will be nothing like the international cuisine featured at top hotels in Bangkok! Available at any time of day or night, street food is for the adventurous; menus are in Thai so unless you can read them everything you order, usually by pointing directly at the food, will be a mystery dish!

Intro to Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is an amazingly diverse city to visit. Not only are there the ultra-modern offices, hotels and shopping malls dotted all over the city, but in stark contrast to this landscape are around 400 ancient cultural temples. Even though they look a little out of place in the city, they're still so stunningly beautiful you just can't help but look at them.

As you roam the streets of Bangkok, you're likely to find citizens dressed in modern business clothing you'd expect in most places of the world, but you'll also see Buddhist monks in traditional saffron robes too. This kind of cultural diversity is a part of what makes Thailand so unique.

As with many other large Asian cities, Bangkok is frequently congested with heavy traffic and people everywhere. The balmy tropical weather sees most of Thailand at a warm average annual temperature of around 28 degrees Celsius (around 83 degrees Fahrenheit) although in the warm season the high humidity can make it feel much warmer. Monsoon season, although still warm, can bring driving rain and electrical storms that are second to none.

Many of the local people are very aware of the value of tourists with a Western appearance and they are very clever about trying to hustle and convince tourists about taking their particular tour or visiting their business. They're generally well-meaning though and you'll find that the vast majority of Thai people are very polite and well-mannered.

Keep in mind that charges for taxis are not the same everywhere you go. A good example of this are the cab stalls inside the international airport terminal. They'll offer you a ride to anywhere you need to go, but you might find they're more expensive than the taxis sitting outside waiting for general fares. The cabs outside your hotel are the same. Take a walk a minute away from the hotel lobby and you'll find general cabs that charge much less.

If you're brave, try a ride on a three-wheeled tuk-tuk. In such busy traffic, these can be a little nerve-wracking at first, but they are definitely worth the experience at least once during your trip to Bangkok

There's plenty of public transport in the city too, including buses and river taxis that can get you around via the river canal system. The river taxis are a great way to get around at the same time as getting a great view of the city.

During your visit to Thailand you should be aware of some general etiquette rules that you'll need to follow. Always remember that the Thai Royal family is highly revered, so never make any comments that could be construed as even slightly negative about the monarchy.

You'll also need to adhere to dress-code when entering sacred temples. It is mandatory to remove your footwear before you enter any of the temples anywhere across the country. You'll also need to wear long pants or a sarong or long skirt inside the temples. This means that shorts and sleeveless tops are not permitted. However, you'll find plenty of light-weight clothing to suit our needs while you're visiting.

Images, likenesses, statues and even postcards of Buddha are sacred throughout Thailand, so if you plan to take a photo of yourself climbing on a Buddha statue, this could be seen as highly disrespectful. Similarly, public displays of affection between men and women are seen as improper, so take it back to your room! Of course, if public displays of 'affection' are your thing, then you might enjoy the notorious red light and adult entertainment district of Patpong.

The city of Bangkok is definitely worth exploring for a few days before you head off to some of the stunningly beautiful parts of Thailand. If your visit to Thailand is only a part of your total visit to Asia, then Bangkok airport offers great flight connections to most other Asian destinations, so it makes the city a great central location for your vacation.
