Budget Hotels in Delhi

The overwhelming hospitality, cultural and historical richness, climate, and buzzing markets are few of the things that make Delhi the cosmopolitan capital of India. The Delhi tourism industry is buoyant and tourists love visiting here!

Delhi is counted as one of the most culturally rich states and is dotted with many hotels that varies on the convenience scale. The city's hotels are a driving force for tourists and offer complete luxury. Few round-the-clock facilities like computers, Internet connection, voice mail and doctor at call provide a home away from home atmosphere. Many hotels even allow the tourists to carry their pets, with a special pets arrangement that includes pets food, pets walk and others.

Along with comfy accommodation facilities, there are many other factors that make living in Delhi an extravagant experience. Food is one factor that keeps tourists hooked to the city. The food palate ranges from continental to Thai, Chinese to Italian, French to Mexican and North Indian to South Indian. Many hotels have amazing chefs whose food is appreciated. For example, Hotel Vishal Heritage in Karol Bagh, Delhi, is one such hotel that has pro chefs that offer amazing food.

Many hotels are complete family places and offer facilities perfect for families. Sumptuous and variety breakfast, light and healthy dinner, in-built spas, saloons and body treatment centers make the stay more than comfortable.

The wine and beer pubs are also an attractive point of many hotels. Many hotels have in-built beer bars which offer a broad range of wine, beer, cocktail and liquor. The stylistic yet sophisticated bar clubs make the hotel wholesome and tourists intending for business purposes prefer such hotels to meet clients and partners.

The Delhi Hotel Management sector is mounting towards success because the hotel staff doesn't aim at filling the rooms- they aim at gratifying customers' stay.

The continuous infrastructure upgradations and employment of attraction spots are also helping the tourists to decide Delhi as their vacation spot. Along with Rajasthan, Goa, Mussoorie and Manali, Delhi is one place where tourists enjoy the most. The city is marked by all the necessities and many 3 star, 4 star and 5 star hotels are located in the hub of market areas that offer tourists the comfort of less commute and thereby less exertion.

Job Dissatisfaction

Why are so many engineers unsatisfied with their jobs? Is it the long hours? The stress? The constant threat of deadlines? All of the above? Let's examine the main culprits that lead to job dissatisfaction in the workplace and what can be done about them.

Unrest at home

Job satisfaction in the workplace begins at home. If an engineer has an unhappy personal life then nothing is going to satisfy him (or her) at work. But the causes of an unhappy personal life probably began from the long hours put in at work so it's a kind of "Catch-22" situation. What is needed then is improved time management and healthy goals that lead to professional and personal growth.

Stress

Stress can be devastating in the workplace and needs to be recognized early to minimize its effects, which is easier said than done. The causes aren't always obvious but are often related to too much work, long working hours, and job insecurity (layoffs, downsizing, mergers, etc). A good way for the engineer to attack stress is to create a harmonious home life, participate in a regular exercise program, open yourself up to other people as much as possible, maintain a positive attitude, and learn how to manage your time better.

Lack of opportunity for promotion

This is a common Silicon Valley engineer's complaint. It's all about competition and how the engineer can stand tall above his co-workers. Promotions aren't about pleasing management (they shouldn't be)-they're really about being consistent at your job and possessing that "edge" over other candidates. Often, an engineer can gain an edge by becoming an expert at a problem at work. This could be fixing a software glitch, fixing malfunctioning electronic hardware, maintaining best practices, scheduling; any number of things. You could become the "go to" guy for certain types of issues in the workplace.

Lack of job autonomy and support from management

Many engineers suffer from the restraints put on them by management. Most successful companies empower their employees to make their own decisions and take the lead on projects. Alas, many companies do not. To be successful in this environment an engineer needs to find a way by bringing a louder voice into the workplace and becoming an expert in his (or her) niche.

Lack of a dream

Most all engineers have goals and they are outlined periodically in performance reviews and included in planners and "things to do' lists. But what every engineer really needs is a dream. Your dream might be learning to fly an airplane, traveling the world as a consultant, or becoming an artist and painting native girls on a tropical island. It can be anything! Your dream should be with you every day and give you a peace of mind that will help you over the bumpy road caused by stress and the other culprits mentioned above.

Turning job dissatisfaction into job satisfaction is not as difficult as it sounds if the engineer will learn to manage time better and have the peace of mind to corral stress and take advantage of the opportunities at work to promote his (or her) professional and personal growth.

Money Saving Tips For Student Travel

With summer vacation for high school and colleges just mere weeks away, many young travelers will start gearing up for a vacation abroad and there are several aspects to consider before parting. Regardless of whether the adventure is for academic purposes, volunteer work, or pure pleasure; spending extended time in a foreign country can lead to many positive experiences as long as the student is fully prepared for what to expect and how to overcome the language barriers. This short guide will provide tips to help young travelers prepare for their time overseas and to ensure they are doing so safely.

Before doing anything, it is highly recommended to visit STA Travel on the internet and explore some of their international packages. From locating a youth hostel to booking tickets on cross country railways, this is clearly the premiere website for obtaining information and finding destinations in other countries. The benefits from booking your reservations through such an organization are twofold; not only can you ensure that your child will have proper lodging accommodations but they will also be surrounded with peers sharing similar interests.

By a student committing to lending time towards solving a local need (like planting trees in deforested areas, showing underprivileged children how to play a sport, teaching English in local classrooms, etc) the overall cost of the adventure could be reduced by as much as 80%, and there are literally destinations all over the world that require some type of assistance. Once a program from the STA website is selected, the student needs to contact the organization and in turn they will ensure that you will be accepted as an apprentice/volunteer at the location of interest. Once approved, travel arrangements can be booked and the student will be picked up at the local airport and taken to their temporary lodging. An orientation course will ensue the following afternoon and then work will immediately begin afterwards. Each individual situation, of course, will require different skills and vary in hours worked; but each of them allow for weekend getaways for sightseeing and adventure.

Another benefit of booking through STA Travel is that they will help you identify places of interest that offer discounts for students, help you book all local travel arrangements through railways and car rentals, and serve as a friend and advisor within an unfamiliar city. Even if the volunteer route is not desired, their local contacts help bridge the language and cultural barriers that can often prove to be so difficult while in a foreign country. By utilizing student discounts on lodging, food, and travel the overall cost of the trip can end up being much lower than by using conventional methods, so this travel method definitely should be explored.

One final piece of advice is locating a long distance carrier with fixed international rates, which can often become quite a task in itself since hidden charges and added expenses are so common within the industry. Businesses like Pingo offer valuable solutions since what you see is exactly what it costs to use their services, so be sure to read the fine text on any website making claims that they have the lowest overall price.

Tip: For more student travel savings, check out the STA Travel Coupons from CouponShack.com.

Sok has been helping every day people save money since 2001. It began as a objective to learn how to save money with coupons for online purchases every now and then but has since evolved to a lifestyle. Patpong Bangkok Hotels - Where to Stay and When to Go

Patpong is located near the commercial hub district of Silom. Though only consisting of one main street Patpong is filled to the rafters with go-go bars, English pubs and small dance clubs. And in between these seedy establishments filled with scantily clad women gyrating their hips to techno beats on stages is the famous outdoor Patpong Night Market situated right on the street that is closed off to traffic starting at 5pm. There is an ongoing joke that in Patpong's Night Market you can find fakes and knock offs of Rolex, Coach leather goods, brand name clothes and woman. Yes even some of the woman there are fake and in Bangkok they are considered the minority third gender called simply Lady-boys.

To experience the best of Patpongs nightlife offerings it is best to stay in a hotel near or around the area of Soi Patpong. Now Patpong as I mentioned above is just a small street. It is sandwiched between Silom and Surawong which are major thoroughfares on the map so you can't miss it. Patpong is also close to Soi Thaniya or Japan Town (Another nightlife scene you should not miss.) that are lined with female hostesses attracting Japanese clientele. These areas are also where the best hotels are located in. Hotels such as the Montien, Silom Serene, Baan Heritage and the Tawana Ramada. Staying near these hotels is a good idea because they are very close to two of Bangkok's fastest mode of mass transportation, the BTS Skytrain and the MRT underground train system.

Traveling onthe BTS and MRT is a great way to avoid Bangkok's ridiculously congested traffic nightmare and cheap. It will take you to the major commercial shopping centers such as Siam Paragon and the Emporium as well as other nightlife hot-spots such as Nana Entertainment Complex and Soi Cowboy. Best of all, the MRT and BTS are ice cold air conditioned and believe me you'll appreciate it.

As far as when to go I would suggest between the months of October to early April which are the cooler months thus the high season. The rates for hotels are higher but rather still affordable because of the advantages of the Western currency exchange rate. You will also get a better deal in terms of room quality for the rate that you pay at a Western hotel. I notice the rates that I pay at a motel or hotel in the United States, I can book a 4 or 5 star hotel in Bangkok with free international buffet breakfast that includes an omelet station. I'm not kidding. The difference in hotel room quality and service is between night and day. But of course the same rule still applies here as well as anywhere else. The more you pay the better the qualities in room and service you get. So don't expect to pay $20 US dollars a night for a hotel with an Olympic sized pool and a decent gym. Though you still might get a pretty decent free breakfast.

No matter which hotel you choose I suggest you check out the reviews first. Many hotel reservation companies have customers who give updated information and reviews about the hotels they've recently stayed in. Don't rely on the hotel reviews that you see on guidebooks because the information will be outdated at the time of print. Bangkok hotels go through frequent renovations so an updated review can give you an advanced warning. My last final advice is relax and enjoy your trip to Thailand.

Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotels - Where to Find and Stay

Guest friendly hotels in Bangkok is a label for hotels that do not charge an extra fee for bringing in an unregistered guest into your room to stay overnight. You may have also heard of the label no joiner fee which means the same thing. Hotels that require their guests to pay an extra fee even though the room had been booked for two is an unfair business practice that occurs throughout Bangkok hotels. Non guest friendly hotels usually charge a 500 THB ($14 USD) fee for bringing in unregistered guests. Some places charge as high as 1000 THB ($30 USD).

Fortunately there are many guest friendly hotels in Bangkok. You can find them mainly centered in the popular commercial areas of Sukhumvit Road which is conveniently close to the myriad of nightlife venues and hot spots throughout the area. Here are names of 5 popular guest friendly hotels in Bangkok (as of writing):

1. Ambassador Hotel
2. Citi Chic Boutique Hotel
3. Amari Boulevard Hotel
4. Landmark Bangkok
5. JW Marriott

There are many more guest friendly hotels of course, with hotel rates ranging from 1000 THB up to 6000 THB ($30 USD to $170 USD) per night, which usually includes a buffet breakfast. There are hotels with even lower rates. Some have rates that go as low as 500 THB or $14 USD per night , but I highly suggest that you avoid staying in a hotel with such low rates as it will most likely be unclean and far from the center of nightlife activities in Bangkok.

Another alternative is to book your stay in a serviced apartment in Bangkok. Serviced apartments in Bangkok are either run by hotel or private management. They treat their guest with full hotel hospitality such as daily house keeping, use of facilities like a fitness gym and swimming pool. Most up market rooms may be equipped with a full kitchen and washer dryers. Most even provide a free buffet breakfast included in the room rates just like hotels in Bangkok. It would stand to make sense that serviced apartments do not charge a joiner fee because the room's are technically apartments. However you are personally responsible for your guests.

There are many serviced apartments in Bangkok. The most popular one is called Centre Point. Currently there are 7 Centre Point Hotel properties that are in convenient locations close to main attractions through out Bangkok. They are a fully established serviced apartment, labeled as a hotel, but most of the guest who stay there are vacationers. Personally Centre Point hotels are my favorite places to stay in and I never have to worry about having to pay a joiner fee for my guest.

For a more comprehensive review and list of guest friendly hotels please visit Guest Friendly Hotels in Bangkok for more information. If you would like to know more about Centre Point Serviced Apartments please visit Centre Point Hotels in Bangkok Review for more information on all 7 of their locations.

A Guide to Las Vegas Hotel Reservations

Las Vegas has proven to be one of the most popular vacation spots in the entire continental United States and its popularity continues to grow among gamblers and non-gamblers alike. There is much more to see and do in Las Vegas than play cards and sit at slot machines, and sometimes, those activities do not require you to leave your hotel. Also, many of the hotels on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip have many convenient ways for you to book your stay at their hotel, making your trip a little easier. There is an old Las Vegas saying that goes, "There's a winner born every minute." Let this be your guide to the selection and booking of a Las Vegas hotel that will suit your needs perfectly.

Gambling, gambling and more gambling

One of the first questions visitors ask when they come to Vegas is "Where's the nearest casino?" to which most Las Vegans reply "Right outside your front door!" And no wonder- it seems like a casino is on every block of Las Vegas's brightly-lit streets. More than 80 percent of people coming to Las Vegas come to gamble, and each one spends in excess of 600 dollars on the average. The gambling industry alone is worth over $20 billion.

If you want to come to Las Vegas to gamble, perhaps a casino hotel is the place for you. Additionally, these casino hotels offer more than just gambling. Shows, spas, video arcades, and five-star restaurants are all standard fare. Naturally, the rooms themselves are luxurious.

Most casino hotels offer booking with the assistance of a travel agent or over the Internet. In some cases, reservations can also be made through phone or e-mail. Ask your local travel guide for more details.

Non-casino resorts and hotels

For non-gamblers, Las Vegas has many other options regarding accommodations. All the typical Las Vegas fare is included at these hotels--that means shows, swimming pools, and high-class food. Some hotels even have theme parks and malls inside them. If these kinds of hotels are more to your taste, they can easily be contacted by phone or e-mail.

Dublin Hotels Near the RDS

The RDS is located about 3km from Dublin city centre in the leafy suburb of Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. If you've chosen a Dublin hotel in the city centre, and if you feel like stretching your legs, you can walk to the RDS. Starting outside of Trinity College, walk along Nassau Street for about 150 metres. From here you can turn right and follow the signposts for the R118 (Mount Street). Stay on this road for about 2kms and you should see the RDS in front of you as the road becomes Merrion Road. The RDS occupies an area of about 42 acres and is situated near Herbert Park.

You can also hop on a bus. Bus routes 5, 7 and 45 all stop at Nassau Street outside of Trinity College and will take you as far as the RDS, at the Merrion Road entrance. The DART, Lansdowne or Sandymount stations are just a few blocks away - about 10 minutes on foot.

The RDS, Royal Dublin Society, was founded in 1731 by the Dublin Philosophical Society with the stated aim of promoting the development of arts, agriculture, industry and science in Ireland. The society gets its Royal title after King George IV who became patron in 1820. In 1868, the society started an annual horse show, which was one of the world's first show jumping events and in recent years has become a very important event in the show jumping calendar. About 10 years later, they acquired the premises in Ballsbridge which the RDS occupies today, though the grounds have expanded over time from the original 15 acres to over 40 acres today. On the grounds you'll find a number of exhibition halls, a stadium, meeting rooms, bars and restaurants.

For much of the 90's the RDS was used by Shamrock Rovers to play their home games, and more recently it has also been used by the Leinster Rugby team to play their home games in the Magners Celtic League and the Heineken European Cup. The grounds has also earned itself a bit of a reputation as being the premier heavy metal venue in Ireland with such groups as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Korn, Linkin Park, Guns N' Roses, Stereophonics and others all picking the RDS as their venue of choice in years past.

There's always something on at the RDS no matter the time of year it is. One of the RDS's biggest annual events is the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. This event has been running continuously for over 40 years and it draws thousands of people every year who come to see Ireland's best and brightest students.

If you're travelling to Dublin for a specific show and want to be within shouting distance of the RDS then it may be wise to book one of the Dublin Hotels that are located in and around the venue. There are several Dublin hotels in the vicinity including a number of reasonably priced 3-Star hotels such as the Lansdowne Hotel, the Tara Towers Hotel, the Mount Herbert Hotel and the Roxford Lodge Hotel. If you'd like somewhere a little snazzier then the Herbert Park Hotel or the School House Hotel, both of which are 4-star hotels, might suit your needs. For some real luxury you might choose the Dylan Hotel which is a 5-star.

In Donnybrook which borders Ballsbridge you can find The Montrose Hotel which is a 3-star hotel.

As you can see there are really no shortage of fine Dublin Hotels within easy walking distance of the RDS. If on the other hand you want to sample Dublin's buzzing nightlife after a show you can choose one of the many Dublin hotels in the city centre.
