The Historic Town of West Malling - Kent

The historic town of West Malling - Kent lies in the Tonbridge and Malling district of the county of Kent. It is an area teeming with many historic buildings, including St. Leonard's Tower, which was a Norman structure built around 1080 or thereabouts. Additionally, in 1090, and abbey for Benedictine nuns was erected in the town area.

There are a number of significant structures from a variety of eras in English history. For example, Norman medieval as well as Tudor and Georgian architectural edifices dot the landscape. In addition to such a historic structural presence, the area also boasts a recent development of homes that features the highest proportion of households in Great Britain making more than 100,000 pounds annually.

West Malling lies only about 35 miles from the center of London right alongside the main road that runs between that metropolis and the coastal port towns of Dover and Folkestone. There are also a number of excellent rail links that, combined with the quality of the roads, means that the town is an outstanding commuter community.

Historically, the town is also thought to be site of the first recorded cricket match in Kent, with a local team playing another team from another community in 1705 on local grounds near Norman Road. For a time, the town played host to a Royal Air Force airbase as well as to U. S. Navy squadrons through the 1960s. Commercial aviation picked up the slack for the next two decades.

The town's rail station features regular service and can take a commuter from the town to London in about one hour. Road travel, though, is being emphasized more than rail and certain destinations into London are being eliminated at some point in the future. As a point of cultural interest, the 1967 Beatles film "Magical Mystery Tour" was filmed in and around the town.

Kent, the county in which West Malling resides, lies in the southeast of England and is one of the Home Counties that surround the city of London. It was one of the central conflict points during the Battle of Britain in World War II and is also considered to be the garden of England due to the number of orchards and other kinds of gardens spread throughout the county.

Whether it's a romantic getaway, special honeymoon or just a trip with close friends, we have picked what we think are the most desirable destinations in the world.

Santorini
This pretty Greek island is famous for its breathtaking views, stunning sunsets and unusual beaches (there's a black pebble beach, red beach, and white beach which is only accessible from the sea). The white-washed traditional Cycladic buildings and blue-domed churches give Santorini its unique character which has long been popular with the fashionable set.

Paris
It wouldn't be possible to write an article about the sexiest spots on earth without mentioning Paris, which everyone recognises as one of the most romantic cities in the world. This city of love is also one of the sexiest spots to visit, thanks to its chic designer boutiques, dramatic gourmet restaurants, grand buildings and impressive galleries.

Krabi
Located in Thailand approximately 800km from Bangkok is this stunning destination which is popular with honeymooners. The palm-fringed sandy beaches in Krabi are white and soft underfoot and the water is crystal clear, making it ideal for snorkelling.

With a backdrop of lush green mountains and secret caves to discover, this destination is made for exploring.

Bora Bora
Travel 150 miles north-west of Tahiti and you will discover Bora Bora, an idyllic destination with endless white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, secluded lagoons and beautiful green mountains.

The island is dominated by two large black peaks, and is renowned for ample watersport opportunities - snorkelling and scuba-diving amongst the favourites. This is the perfect place for hot romantic getaway.

Rio de Janeiro
Attracts many visitors each year, hoping to experience a slice of Brazilian life. Carnival is the most popular time to visit, bringing in masses of tourists, ready to party the night away in the hot, humid streets. This is by far one of the sexiest places in the world to visit - even the hip-shaking music oozes sensuality.

Maldives
There's nothing more intimate than staying on a private island, surrounded by calm blue water, soft white sand beaches and lush green foliage. The Maldives is one of the world's most popular honeymoon destinations and it's easy to see why. Spending time in such a tranquil and beautiful destination helps you forget your former busy life and focus your attention on one another.

Visit Dhoni Mighili or Rangali Island to experience luxury at its very best. With personal butlers on-hand and traditional style accommodation on stilts in the ocean, a stay at either one of these resorts is guaranteed to leave you with unforgettable memories.

Punta Cana
Many would argue that Punta Cana features some of the best beaches in the world, with soft sand, calm blue waters, and gentle swaying palm trees. If you don't want to spend your time just lazing on the beach, then there is a range of watersports available, such as snorkeling, jet-skiing, scuba diving and sailing.

During the day, enjoy the thrill of a jeep safari through the Dominican countryside and when the sun goes down sample the delicious local cuisine before dancing the night away under the stars.

Oahu
This is the third largest island of Hawaii and has famously been used as the prime location for countless films and TV programmes, including Lost and Jurassic Park. This is due to the island's dramatic landscapes: green mountains, pristine beaches, steamy jungles, urban cities, lush valleys and breathtaking cliffs.

The exotic location with its outstanding natural beauty will provide visitors with a unique holiday experience where anything is possible.

Langkawi
This group of 99 unspoilt islands are located approximately 30km from the mainland coast of north-western Malaysia. Shrouded in mystery and legend, these beautiful islands offer plenty to experience and explore.

Top-10 Of The Most Intimate Hotels In The World

One and a half month remains before the main holiday in the year, however the people are already actively making their plans of the New Year celebration. There are three most stirring questions - with whom, how and where should they celebrate New Year's Eve, however, no one would argue that New Year's Day is first of all a romance. There are top-10 of the most "intimate" hotels for those who would like to meet 2008 with a partner in a romantic place.

Many hotels all over the world offer intimate atmosphere, however, in practice it turns out that there are either too many people already settled there or not so careful service. Here is the list of 10 chamber hotels that really offer a luxurious service together with minimal quantity of the rooms offered, as the result of it, you can take a real delight in spending the holiday together.

The Eugenia hotel, situated in Bangkok (Thailand) - is the colonial building of the 19th century. It has slightly more than a dozen of luxurious rooms with copper bathroom equipments and baldachined beds. There are some vintage "Jaguars" standing near the hotel for you to be sent to romantic journey and you can use them at any point.

British Virgin Islands are the romantic place of itself, but to make the feeling complete, it is worth staying in the Katitche Point Greathouse hotel, situated on the green beach of the Virgin Corda island. This building has only four suits with the loggias where you can fall into a reverie lying in the hammock. Also it can boast its view from the rooms on the sir Francis Drake's channel, where the Caribbean Sea pass into Atlantic Ocean.

It can be also very "intimate" in lively Marrakesh, if you clink glasses with champagne in the Riad Meriem hotel. The design of this 5-roomed hotel was created by the talented American designer Thomas Hayes and the walls in its rooms are enveloped in the dim light of the custom-made lanterns, active life concentrates in a cozy yard with lodge and pool, and the sunbathing takes place on the terrace decorated with fragrant Jessamine.

If you stay in Costa Rica, don't chuck up a chance to spend some days enjoying luxurious view from volcanic Cordilleras Tilaran, where the Inn at Coyote Mountain hotel is placed at a height of 4 thousand feet. On the hotel's area of 70 acres are its own paths for hiking, gardens with orchids and tropical plants.

One of the smallest cheap hotels in the world is the Spanish La Casa Azu, located in Valencia. It has only 3 rooms, each occupying the whole floor, and designed by different designers. The hotel construction was built in 19th century and it functioned as a shop. Today, the view from its roof is one of best views in Valencia. And just 100 miles apart Patagonia (Argentina) you can find absolutely particular "refuge" - the Helsingfors hotel, quietly staying at a lakeside and having a view of the picturesque scenery of the Fitz Roy massif.

Lovers of the mysterious hotel-castles of the Relais&Chateaux network should attend one of the two hotels of this network in the American state Vermont - Pitcher Inn. Each of 11 rooms personifies different state features. One of which that has, for example, the blanket are made of skiing blazers, is called "snow room"; another is called "school room", the bed back of which is a blackboard.

The modern hotel Outpost is placed in the deep unexplored wilderness, outskirts of South Africa yard under the ominous name of Krueger's National park. In the hotel there are dozens of rooms with spacious balconies that have the view of picturesque Makuleke area. It is surprising, but you can find romanticism even in Turkey.

The Serinn House hotel, famous by its unique nature and cultural heritage is placed in Kappadokia one of the main tourist center of Turkey. Its 5 rooms are designed in elegant minimal style.

Of course, the most intimate living may be called a lonely staying in one's own villa. You can stay at the Malaysian resort JapaMala with minimal quantity of neighbors. You can order an excellent house, for example, on the cost of the Tioman island, where the exotic nature would be the only companion for the fine holiday - New Year's Eve.

Bangkok - Overwhelming Nightlife

Thailand truly is a tourist's dream, with Bangkok's overwhelming nightlife and just so much to do. The city's nightlife was just amazing and had so much to offer to its visitors. Bangkok alone is home to a few dozen discos, almost 100 GoGo bars, hundreds of karaoke bars, and literally thousands of pubs and cafes.

Bangkok has so much more to offer tourists and travelers than its reputation for girls and the bars of Patpong, Soi Cowboy, and Nana "Entertainment" Plaza. The experience was enjoyable and fun. The city is unrivaled for its variety of nightlife. Throbbing clubs like Lucifers and The Talisman, live music, bowling, ice skating, dinner shows featuring Thai classical dance and sword play, dinner cruises on the Chao Phya River in an old teak rice barge, and Thai boxing bouts at Lumpini Stadium

The city's bars, pubs and clubs runs range from sidewalk stalls overflowing with cheap beer and whiskey, to California-chic clubs like the Q bar and ultra-packed nightclubs full of bouncing, middle class Thai university students and expats. Royal City Avenue is a whole street of huge clubs the size of aeroplane hangars, packed with teenagers, jumping around to dance versions of Thai pop.

Bangkok nightlife has a reputation for being wild and rowdy. But at the same time it's relaxed, safe, enjoyable and great fun to be part of it. The city is fast trying to established itself as Asia's capital of cool. Bangkok's diverse nightlife scene features everything from excellent live music and good jazz clubs to ultra cool bars, trendy clubs and great restaurants

Dublin Hotels in Temple Bar

Temple Bar is located in the heart of Dublin city on the south side of the River Liffey. It is bordered by Dame Street to the south, Fishamble Street to the west, Westmoreland Street to the east and the River Liffey to the north. It's a very central place to base yourself if you're here to sight-see, shop or socialise, as there are lots of Dublin hotels located here.

Temple Bar is one of the oldest and most loved parts of Dublin city. Its medieval character is instantly recognisable with lots of narrow cobbled streets and old world style lampposts. It's not sure how the area got its name but maybe it was down to a gentleman named Sir William Temple who was said to have developed the area in the 17th century.

Today, the Temple Bar area is one of the city's cultural hotspots with many Irish Cultural Institutions located here like the Irish Photography Centre, the Irish Film Institute, the Temple Bar Music Centre and the Gaiety School of Acting to name a few.

Of course, Temple Bar is well known as one of the best nightlife spots, not alone in Dublin, or Ireland, but indeed throughout Europe! When the sun sets over Dublin city, the Temple Bar area really comes alive with young and old enjoying the huge array of pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants. There is something here to suit all tastes whether you'd like to enjoy a gourmet meal, listen to live Irish music in a traditional pub, laugh your socks off at a comedy show, or party into the small hours in one of the many trendy nightclubs.

During the day, Temple Bar is a great place to just stroll around and soak up the atmosphere. You'll stumble upon some quirky gift shops, alternative clothes shops, bookshops, second hand shops and some interesting vegetarian cafes. Attractions to look out for in this area include Merchant's Arch (1822), the cast-iron Ha'Penny Bridge (1816) and the Dublin Viking Adventure on Essex Street. Other major attractions like Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Christchurch Cathedral are within short walking distance of Temple Bar.

Probably the best time to visit Temple Bar is in the evening when you can experience the buzz and enjoy on street entertainment in the form of buskers and comedians. Then eat, drink and have fun!

If you'd like all this on your doorstep, then choose Dublin hotels which are located in Temple Bar. Three star hotels located in Temple Bar include the Paramount Hotel, the Parliament Hotel, the Fleet Street Hotel, the Aston Hotel and the Temple Bar Hotel. You could also stay in the River House Hotel or if you're after five star luxury then stay at the exclusive Westin Hotel which is just steps from Temple Bar.

When you book Dublin hotels in Temple Bar, you'll not only be in the thick of action, you'll also be within easy walking distance of O'Connell Street (Dublin's main thoroughfare) and Grafton and Henry Street (two of the city's main shopping streets).

South Florida Hotels

Dotted with a number of islands of the Gulf of Mexico, South Florida is a place with abundant natural beauty. The emerald green waters, the beautiful powdery white beaches, the Cypress woods and the huge variety of wildlife define the culture of South Florida. All this is not to say that South Florida is a place only for those who seek the womb of nature for their ideal holiday retreat. There are a large number of trendy and posh clubs, shopping arcades and boutiques also. The place, one can claim with surety, has something for everyone.

South Florida comprises of several places which in themselves are extremely popular tourist destinations. Naples, Key West, Palm Beach, Miami, Sarasota, South Beach, have for long been everyone's favorite holiday spots. Finding a perfect hotel which will cater to all your needs is therefore, a difficult job as the large variety of choices available makes the selection very cumbersome.

One can choose from a range of different accommodation types depending upon what suits ones pocket the most. You should also be careful about the people who are accompanying you on the trip. If you have a family with young children in it then you cannot possibly attempt to rent cheap rooms in a downtown motel. A number of supposedly good deals that are available online will try to sell you unhygienic rooms that falsely boast of basic amenities. So, beware of such deals.

There are a number of discount options available online. Even some of the high end hotels will offer you such packages. If chosen carefully they can be highly beneficial. You can also find hotels which are pet friendly, that is, they will not only allow you to bring your pet along with you to the hotel but they will also make sure that your pet has a grand vacation experience as well.

Local Hotels in Gurgaon and Delhi, India

If you are thinking of vacationing in North India, there are a number of local hotels that would gladly provide you with comfortable lodging. The North India tour is popular among retired Americans who have saved for years to be able to travel the world. There is so much to see in this vast and rich subcontinent. The tour of the north part of India includes such beauties as Corbet National Park, the palaces of Rajasthan, and of course the world famous Taj Mahal.

The Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi, is a family owned five star hotel group that has hotels in the major cities of India. You will find their hotels extravagantly designed to match the traditional Indian culture. There is no doubt that the hotel is viably one of the best five star hotels in India, and a terrific place to stay. The Oberoi in New Delhi is decorated after the manner of the rich Mugal rulers who used to occupy the Delhi Region. With hints of rajasthani art, rich carpets, and spacious lounges, the Oberoi in Delhi is an experience in itself.

Apart from the decor and beauty of the hotel, you will find the staff courteous, helpful, and polite. The staff are highly trained and happy to be of service. Places to eat within the hotel include a large coffee house, a lounge bar, Indian, Thai, and Chinese restaurants, as well as a pastry corner. Relaxation spots include a massage and beauty parlor, indoor lap pool, gym, and outdoor swimming pool. Needless to say, the prices are not cheap. Rooms start at 300 to 400 dollars a night, but the food is reasonably priced.

The Courtyard Marriott, Gurgaon, is among the local hotels that provide rooms to low budget travelers. The courtyard holds five stars and is one of the best hotels in Gurgaon as far as service goes. Choosing Your Thailand Hotel

It may seem bewildering with all the choice when you start looking to book your Thailand hotel, but there are few tips which can save you a lot of time...

Thailand is massively popular with tourists, and the reason for that is simple, it's a country blessed with a range of different appeals, from the skyscrapers to museums, to beach fronts.

When you start to choose your hotel for your stay, the first choice is to decide what kind of holiday you are after.

You may want a luxury stay, so that you can enjoy the metropolitan side of Thailand.

Or you may prefer a more open beach type hotel, as free and easy a lifestyle as possible.

You may want to go for the backpacker type venue, where you literally just want a bed for the night, and you aren't too fussed about where it is.

Maybe you want the type of hotel where you hardly ever leave the building!

As you can see, these choices alone will open up a vast array of hotels, so there is no need to look at those which don't fit the style of your stay.

Only focus on those that do, and once you've done that the next step is to choose which budget option you are going for.

Each different type of holiday will have hotels at the top end of the range, middle options and cheaper alternatives.

Again by making this decision before you start looking you will weed out a lot of choices which aren't suitable for you.

Another great tip is to use a website which has reviews.

There is nothing better than real life customer reviews to keep you informed, much better than the hotel's own publicity!

Even better if the site has the option, say of a forum, where you can discuss the options and hotels with people and get honest replies, good or bad.

So to sum up, decide what type of holiday you're after, what your hotel budget is, and then if you go to a site that has real life reviews, you'll be well on your way to finding your perfect Thailand hotel.
